Walleye
Lake Nipissing is widely regarded as one of the best walleye fishing destinations in Ontario, if not all of Canada. Anglers come from all over to try their luck at catching this prized fish species. The walleye population in Lake Nipissing is robust, and the fish here grow to impressive sizes. The lake's structure, including its deep waters and weed beds, provides ideal habitat for walleye, making it easier to find and catch them. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a novice angler, the walleye fishing on Lake Nipissing is an experience not to be missed.
Musky
Lake Nipissing is the home of dinosaur muskies, including the 58 inch catch and release world record (caught in October of 2006). Big water equals big fish, and these waters are full of them. The west arm and west bay of Lake Nipissing (where Paradis Cove is located) is a famous musky fishery in itself. Each year we see a good number of fish caught in the 50 inch plus class, with the occasional slob measuring 55 inches or greater! Equally remarkable, is how low the fishing pressure is here for such a huge lake and great musky fishery. For a truly awesome adventure, we highly recommend a guided expedition from your host and guide Regan Thompson.
Bass
Bass fishing on Lake Nipissing is another popular activity that draws anglers to the lake each year. The lake is home to both smallmouth and largemouth bass, and the fishing for both species is excellent. Smallmouth bass are abundant and can be caught in shallow water near rocky shorelines, while largemouth bass are more commonly found in the weedy areas of the lake. Whether you prefer to fish with lures or live bait, the bass fishing on Lake Nipissing is sure to provide you with plenty of action and excitement. With a healthy bass population and a variety of great fishing spots to choose from, Lake Nipissing is a top destination for bass fishing enthusiasts.
